If you expert users out there say no to installing the program on the external drive, would a better option be to install the Sonar X1 program to my laptop C drive and everything else (Dimension Pro, plug ins, effects etc.) to the external drive - and save all my projects and audio to that same external drive too? In which case, which elements during the install need to go on my laptop hard drive? Removing previously installed Cakewalk products after installing Sonar X1 may remove some plug-ins.
